 Shutter Emulsion Paint

On December 28,2023 my current company Vector Design and Solution has got the contract of shutter installation work of 16 stations of this Brt project. Each station have got 6nos shutter item where station building have 2nos shutter and electric room have 4nos shutter. The shutter sizes are vary from station to station. After installation, the shutter painting works come. For shutter paint three steps have been followed. Here shutter painting procedure has been detailed for only Tongi College Gate Station. For rest of the stations these procedures have been followed.

Step 01: Cleaning the surface

As it is beside the highway of Dhaka- Gazipur, cleaning the dust from the shutter outer and inner surface is necessary. 10mm brush has been used for cleaning the process. In some places clothes are also used for the cleaning.

Step 02: Red Oxide Apply

After the cleaning has been done, red oxide apply procedure has been started. At first Berger thinner has been added with red oxide for the smooth finish. One layer of red oxide has been applied in both inner and outer surface of the shutter. Berger red oxide has been applied following the Consultants'(SMEC) method of statement.

Step 03: Emulsion paint apply

After red oxide apply procedure done, 4hours need to wait for the dring of red oxide. After 4hours, applying emulsion paint has been started. Here Berger Robalac emulsion paint has been used and light grey color has been chosen. Mainly two layer (horizontal and vertical) of paint has been applied. After applying one layer of paint, the surface has been cleaned again( as mentioned earlier that it's a highway side project) then another layer of  emulsion paint has been applied.
