On Saturday, 25th October 2025, I had the privilege to attend the seminar titled “Strong Foundations, Strong Connections”, organized by Freehold Construction & Development at the Old IEB Bhaban, 1st Floor, Seminar Room, Ramna, Dhaka.
The seminar centered around the theme “Building for the Future: Role of Pile Base Grouting & Couplers in Safer, Stronger Structures.” It brought together engineers, researchers, and professionals eager to explore innovative approaches in foundation and structural design.
The event was honored by the presence of:
- Chief Guest: Professor Dr. Ahsanul Kabir, Former Professor of Civil Engineering, BUET
- Keynote Speaker: Professor Dr. Jahangir Alam, Professor of Civil Engineering, BUET
- Increases the bearing capacity of piles by enhancing end resistance.
- Reduces the total number of piles required for a given load.
- Improves pile efficiency, leading to stronger and safer foundation performance.
- Decreases foundation costs by approximately 20–40%, making it both economically and structurally efficient.
It was an excellent learning experience where I deepened my understanding of advanced construction technologies and interacted with leading professionals in the field. Each participant received a CPD Certificate along with some appreciation gifts, marking the session as both informative and memorable.
I sincerely thank Freehold Construction & Development for arranging this valuable seminar and for their continuous efforts in promoting innovation and professional growth within Bangladesh’s construction industry.
